Back by Popular Demand! The Orlando Philharmonic's Ovation! Proudly presents Music and Moonlight – An Evening On Lake Osceola 2008

(Orlando, FL – March 11, 2008) – The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s volunteer group for young professionals, Ovation, proudly presents its third annual fabulous fundraising event: Music and Moonlight – An Evening on Lake Osceola. The event is held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 7:00 to 10:30 PM. Sponsoring the event is Title Sponsor Bright House Networks and Silver Sponsor Waddell & Reed Financial Services, Duncan DeWahl. 
Embark on a musical adventure with Ovation! Guests will board a private boat and enjoy being serenaded by a musician from the Orlando Philharmonic as they glide across beautiful Lake Osceola, where an evening of music, heavy hors d’oeuvres, mixing and mingling awaits at the delightful Winter Park home of Mark and Caryn Israel. The evening continues in the home and garden of the Israels, with the music of a Philharmonic jazz ensemble, dancing if the mood strikes, and a silent auction. Throughout the evening, guests are invited to enjoy boat rides on the lake to sip champagne and relish in a beautiful Florida evening. 

This year’s silent auction promises to tempt guests with an array of items including tickets to area arts venues, concerts, and shows; wines, gift certificates to area restaurants and gift baskets.  
The event begins at the dock for Winter Park’s Scenic Boat Tours, 312 E. Morse Boulevard, Winter Park.  Boats will be available to transport guests to the parking area throughout the evening as they wish to be taken back, and at the conclusion of the event.

Tickets to Music and Moonlight, an Evening on Lake Osceola, are $65 per person and include two glasses of wine. A cash bar is available to purchase additional wine. Ovation is the Orlando Philharmonic’s volunteer chapter designed for young professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s, dedicated to supporting the mission of the Orlando Philharmonic, with a focus on audience development through social events. All proceeds from the event benefit the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
