The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra presents the 2008- 2009 Focus Series

(Orlando, FL – February 28, 2008) - The Orlando Philharmonic announces the 2008-2009 season of its popular Focus Series. The programs of the Focus Series put the “focus” on musical themes and feature the work of a variety of composers, as they highlight the best of the chamber orchestra repertoire in an interesting "theater-in-the-round" setting. This series features the talented musicians of the Philharmonic along with guest soloists and a lineup of enduring classics all brought to life by esteemed conductors. Discourse from the conductor enhances the music with an educational element. All Focus programs are held on Mondays at 7:00 PM in the Margeson Theater in the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 E. Rollins Street, Orlando.

Subscriptions to the four-concert Focus Series are presently on sale at two price levels. Level 1 seating is $140 for adults and $70 for students with valid ID. Level 2 seating is $92 for adults and $46 for students with valid ID. To order subscriptions, phone the Orlando Philharmonic Box Office at 407-770-0071, or visit our website at www.orlandophil.org. Single tickets go on sale August 25, 2008.  Single ticket prices are Level 1: $39 for adults and $19.50 for students; Level 2: $28 for adults and $14 for students.
