Orlando, FL – October 25, 2006 – The Orlando Philharmonic invites you to join our musical family for the heartwarming music of the holiday season at our annual concert tradition, Home for the Holidays. The concert takes place on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre, 401 W. Livingston Street, Orlando. Two performances are offered: a matinee performance at 2:00 PM and an evening performance at 8:00 PM. The concert is sponsored by Merrill Lynch. The Artist Sponsors are the Real Yellow Pages ® from BellSouth and the Orlando Sentinel. The title sponsor of the Phil at Carr Series is Orlando Sentinel Communications.
Let the spirit of the season embrace you at Home for the Holidays! Audiences are invited to enjoy complimentary holiday punch and cookies prior to both performances in the lobby of the Carr auditorium. Prior to the 8:00 PM performance, enjoy the fabulous voices of The Caroling Company, who will spread their holiday cheer throughout the lobby with carols guaranteed to start your season on a high note.
The concert program, Home for the Holidays, features Maestro Andrew Lane and the Orlando Philharmonic in a musicalcelebration of the season! Enjoy a bit of nostalgia as you listen to holiday favorites, including The First Noel, The Holly and the Ivy, March of the Toys, Ding! Dong! Merrily on High, O Holy Night, We Need a Little Christmas, and more! Featured on the program are The Holiday Singers: Connie Brink, John Cavazos, Tiffany Coburn, Amy Martin-Cole, Dirk Donahue, Catherine Harrover, David McCutcheon and Ryan Rhodes. The members of this group of professional vocalists all bring their unique performance skills to create a robust, yet blended sound of the highest caliber.
Tickets to Home for the Holidays are presently on sale. Single tickets are $13, $26, $36, $46 and $60. Subscriptions to the Orlando Philharmonic’s Phil at Carr Series are also on sale, and range in price from $36 to $490.
