(Orlando, FL – April 21, 2005) - The
Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra performs for TheEvening
at the Pops concert presented by
the Rotary Club of Winter Garden and Castle & Cooke
Florida, Ltd. The concert takes place on Saturday,
April 23, 2005, 4:00 p.m., at Tanner Hall at Newton Park,
in Winter Garden. The concert
begins at 4:00 p.m. and is preceded by an hour of fun
for the children with a hands-on “Instrument
Petting Zoo” from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Members
of the Philharmonic host four different stations where
children can come and try their hand at playing an instrument. The
four instrument families that make up the orchestra are
represented at these stations, including: strings, woodwinds,
brass and percussion.
Admission
to The Evening at the Pops is
$15 at the door. Tickets are available at the
West Orange Chamber (407) 656-1304 and are $10 in advance. The
Chamber is open Monday through Friday. Or you may purchase
tickets at J.R.’s
Attic Door, located on Plant Street, in downtown Winter
Garden.
The
concert benefits the West Orange Christian Service
Center, the Health Central Foundation and other local
charities.
