Founded in 1946, the Prague Spring has become one of the most internationally recognized music festivals attracting both top musicians and symphony orchestras and music lovers from all over the world. Opening traditionally with the renowned Ma Vlast – My Country, the cycle of six symphonic poems including the popular Vltava – The Moldau, by Bedrich Smetana; the Festival begins on May 12 to commemorate the Czech composer’s death, and goes on presenting grand music throughout the City for over three weeks.
