Caution Over Economy Temporarily Suspends Grande Masque Fundraiser
Decision to Cancel Fundraiser Gala made unanimously by Board and Executive Leadership at
Orlando Ballet, Orlando Opera Company, and Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra

ORLANDO, October 23, 2008 – Orlando Ballet, Orlando Opera Company, and Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra have decided to cancel the 2008 Grande Masque Ball. This decision was made yesterday after a Steering Committee meeting in which board and executive leaders of each organization were present. It was felt that a top dollar, black-tie event was not appropriate given the current state of the economy. The Steering Committee believes the decision to cancel Grande Masque for this year is a wise and prudent business decision. Read More
