Sounds of Summer 2008

The Philharmonic's summer tradition continues with the highly acclaimed Sounds of Summer Series for 2008. The Sounds of Summer Series is a 5-concert chamber music series that highlights the talented musicians of the Orlando Philharmonic with unique and exciting programming. This summer, the series is presented on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM. The series is presented at the Margeson Theater, located in the Lowndes Shakespeare Center. The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra proudly announces the 2008-2009 Season! The acclaimed flagship series, formerly known as Phil at Carr – has a new name! The Philharmonic’s 10- concert Super Series is named in anticipation of the Philharmonic’s move to the New Performing Arts Center in 2012. This series continues to highlight the best of classical and pops repertoire featuring the fabulous Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with a host of acclaimed guest artists, along with the conducting of Music Director Christopher Wilkins and Principal Pops and Resident Conductor Andrew Lane. The lineup for the 2008 Sounds of Summer Series and the 2008-2009 Focus Series were also announced.
